Dr. Jörg Ulrich

Linde Hydraulics GmbH and Co. KG has realigned its executive management team. Current Chief Financial Offer (CFO), Dr. Jörg Ulrich (44), also takes over the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

The new CEO position allows Linde Hydraulics to concentrate on and enhance its decision-making competencies in order to foster a faster and more effective implementation of strategic and operational measures.

Dr. Steffen Appel

Dr. Steffen Appel (47), who currently leads production and purchasing as COO, will in addition also be responsible for the Research and Development in the future.

Janfried A. Tirre

Janfried A. Tirre (53), will become the company’s CSO and lead global sales activities.

Janfried A. Tirre is able to draw on more than 20 highly successful years of experience in the hydraulics business. Most recently, he was responsible for strategy and planning for the hydraulics sector at Chinese mechanical engineering enterprise Weichai Power.

Prior to that role, Tirre held various management positions at Sauer-Danfoss, which involved leading the sales and marketing activities for the entire Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, as well as establishing and managing the organization in China as the President of the Chinese division. Tirre holds a mechanical engineering degree as well as an Executive MBA.

He is taking over for Thorsten van der Tuuk (58), who has made the decision to leave Linde Hydraulics in order to pursue new professional opportunities outside the company after five successful years in the role.

“In Janfried A. Tirre, Linde Hydraulics has gained an established manager and sales leader, who not only has outstanding knowledge of our industry, but who has also many years of experience in the emerging, promising markets of Asia,” said Jörg Ulrich.

Previously at the end of July, Linde Hydraulics announced Helmut Wagener (63) as its head of the Supervisory Board. The mechanical engineer was Chairman of the Bosch Rexroth Hydraulics Management Board until 2010.
