New generations of construction machinery will be unveiled at the bauma trade show this year in Shanghai, setting higher standards in performance, ease of operation and degree of energy efficiency. These improvements can be mainly credited to the hydraulic drives installed on these machines.

The displayed portfolio will consist of products such as the newly developed open circuit double pump HPR 125D with even more compact dimensions and improved efficiency, as well as hydraulic motors, valve technology, power transmissions and electronics for open and closed loop operations.
The highlight at the booth is the presentation of the Load-Sensing technology “Linde Synchron Control” (LSC) with an excavator arm demonstrator. This controlling principle stands for sophisticated hydraulic applications in open loops. The exact division and regulation of the oil flow according to the actual pressure and flow requirements is the basic principle of this system. When more power is demanded than the system is able to provide, the flow will remain divided in a defined quantity ratio, making sure that all propel and work functions are executed, as demanded by the driver. There is no need for re-adjustments or tunings of individual components by the driver, therefore the operator can fully concentrate on his work.
From the view of the machine user, LSC offers clear benefits because the Load-Sensing technology produces considerably lower power losses than open center systems. This results in a better fuel economy and a significantly higher productivity. This is particularly noticeable on machines with complex work tasks and changing fields of operation such as excavators.
Measurements confirm efficiency gains of up to 10% because the required pressure and oil flow are always on-demand and available just in time. Therefore, the drive power is efficiently utilized and the system does not waste any energy.
Another benefit arises from the intuitive, load independent operation, which is enabled by the Load Sensing system. This is why machines with LSC systems achieve high materials handling power and the machine owners save twice, firstly on fuel, and secondly in labour time.
